Vinterio – unique look, innovative qualities.
Vinterio, a subsidiary of Danzer Group, offers a genuine wooden surface that has numerous advantages over conventional wooden surfaces and delivers many benefits to customers. The new product opens up a whole new world of decorative applications. Vinterio creates fine wooden surfaces with looks that have not been possible to see before.
In the past decades, there have been very little or no innovations in the world of wooden surfaces. The times when new species could be introduced are over, because all commercially viable species are already used to varying degrees of intensity. Innovative ideas over the past decades have mostly been limited to production issues. Vinterio is a highly innovative product: it is the first time that a wooden surface with a new look, high value and high quality has been introduced. Our customers seek opportunities to upgrade their offerings and create a unique quality product that differentiates them from any competitor. Vinterio offers exactly this value to our customers. We aim at continuing the innovation processes of our wooden surfaces ― under the brand-name Vinterio. We are convinced that we will be able to present further interesting news in the years to come.
Initially the group’s global engineering team worked on the development of the new products and in 2005 the project stepped-up a gear with the decision to build machines and test-lines to explore production capabilities.
Now, in two productions, Melnik, Czech Republic and in Darlington, Pennsylvania the Vinterio products are industrially manufactured.
In 2005 Vinterio also applied for worldwide patents, some of them, in the EU & US for example, have already been granted.
Vinterio presented itself for the first time at the Interzum in Cologne in May 2007. During Fall 2007 several trade shows were attended:
- ZOW, Pordenone
- Materialica , Munich
- MaterialVision, Francfurt
- Materialia, Valencia
Distribution and Sales
Currently Vinterio is building up a world-wide Premium Partner Network in order to ensure the distribution of Vinterio- products. Partners can be reached via our webpage for local distribution in any quantities. Marketing activities between the partners are coordinated in order to achieve a well-known brand name.
Product-lines
Vinterio is available in three product lines. “Stratus Classic” and “Stratus Superior” made from one single species, while “Nimbus” is a combination of species.
Vinterio Stratus opens up a number of high-quality surfaces made from one single species. These real wooden surfaces are of elegant and decorative aesthetics and show repeatable and consistent patterns and are readily available. The narrow components of Vinterio Stratus create a surprising effect. While characteristics of the species remain clearly visible, the overall appearance is very balanced. This makes Vinterio Stratus ideal for applications requiring a high-value, consistent wooden surface with a uniform look, e.g. architectural projects, furniture, doors, flooring, cabinets, etc.
Stratus Classic consists of components between 18 – 23 mm, while narrower strips from 8 - 13 mm give “Stratus Superior” a more homogeneous look and a unique appearance.
Vinterio Nimbus opens up a number of high-quality surfaces which combine various wood species. Surface patterns can be wild and expressive, classically elegant or exclusively unique.
Architects and Designers can create their own real wooden pattern according to their ideas and needs. Vinterio also holds several Standard Nimbus patterns in stock.
Vinterio Nimbus is an exclusive and unique product with a variable component width of 6 – 25 mm. It is well-suited for architectural and design minded applications, furniture, doors, kitchen cabinets, decorative panels, wrappings, moldings, flooring and the marine industry.
All processes comply with the highest standards. Strict quality demands on the raw material ensure a balanced and high-quality appearance. Surface patterns can always be repeated in exact detail, thanks to the new component design and innovative manufacturing process developed by Danzer Group. At the same time, each Vinterio surface maintains its individual specie characteristics.
Cost efficient processing
Vinterio is user–friendly: nice to work with and easy to process. The wooden surface comes in standard dimensions, which provide users with a reliable calculation basis. Yield and material costs can be calculated accurately, making processing significantly more cost- efficient compared to conventional wooden surfaces.
Moreover, Vinterio has significantly stronger glue joints, making it well-suited for postforming requirements with even the smallest radiuses. With stronger joints, Vinterio products don’t break easily and therefore, do not disrupt downstream processing.
Consistent high quality and availability
Danzer Group uses state-of-the-art technology and equipment to manufacture Vinterio products with consistently high quality. All processes are in compliance with the highest standards. Danzer Group maintains its own forests, large and widespread log and lumber procurement teams, forest concessions and production facilities on several continents. This ensures reliable procurement sources, so that Vinterio products are readily available to customers.
Extensive environmental standards
Vinterio also offers reliability with respect to environmental and health concerns. The glue joints in the wooden surface contain no formaldehyde. Each Vinterio production facility complies with extensive environmental and safety standards certified in accordance with the internationally recognized ISO standard 14001:2004. All plants are also chain-of-custody certified in accordance with FSC, PEFC and SFI.
